COME CELEBRATE WITH US FOR 2010!!!

WHY PARTY JUST ANYWHERE THIS NEW YEAR'S EVE? MAKE IT A GREAT NIGHT WITH AWESOME FRIENDS AND TERRIFIC FOOD. FOR 2010, WE'D LIKE TO INVITE YOU FOR AN AWESOME 2010 CELEBRATION AT NEWPORT BEACH DUNES' COTTAGE RESORT!

PURPOSE: 1) TO GET TOGETHER WITH FRIENDS, SIT BACK AND REFLECT ON WHERE ON EARTH 2009 WENT.  2) MAYBE THIS IS A START OF MORE TO COME FROM THIS GROUP OF FRIENDS. 3) LET'S LOOK FORWARD TO 2010 TOGETHER.

IN ADDITION, IT'S AN ALTERNATIVE TO WATCHING DICK CLARK ALONE, EXPENSIVE CLUBBING ($100 ENTRANCE FEES AND $20 MIXED DRINKS? WTH!!) AND CRAZY PEOPLE THAT YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW. WHY NOT PARTY WITH US? MORE FOOD, BOOZE AND FUN!!!

A FEW IMPORTANT THINGS THAT WE'RE SURE YOU'D LIKE TO KNOW:

DRESS CODE:

Umm...make sure you're fully clothed unless you want to hit the cold water when the clock strikes 12am!!! You can just walk out from the porch and go swimming. Or we can all decide to dress up for New Year's. That's personal preference.

FOOD:

HOT DOGS AND VAK'S SLIDERS!!!..Any other suggestions...please let us know...we want to make sure: A) we don't spend too much. B) We don't bring the same food. (BTW: any volunteers to help would be terrific.)

DECORATIONS:

Your ticket money will go towards buying decorations. 

ENTERTAINMENT:

I HEAR DAVID MOONLIGHTS AS A CHIP AND DALE DANCER  :P...seriously though...music, food, and anything else you can think of.

BOOZE:

Yogurt/Soju, Mixed drinks, Sangria, and BEER!!! And of course CHAMPAGNE for toasting into the NEW YEAR: 2010!!!!!!!!!!

INCENTIVES: IF AFTER ALL THE BILLS ARE PAID (COTTAGE, FOOD, BOOZE, DECOR AND ETC) ARE PAID, ANY FUNDS LEFT OVER WILL BE DONATED TO A CHRISTMAS CHARITY. 

FAQs for New Year's:

Q) I've never been there, what's the place like?

     A. Here are the details: It's a cottage, full kitchen, bathroom, 1 bedroom, living room, 12x12 loft (it's really a sleeping area), and walk out porch. Q) What happens if I get too a wasted?

      A. Well, since it's a cottage, we can accommodate anyone that can't drive and would like to spend the night.

Q) Is your food really that good?

      A.Ok smaty pants, you can just starve then... :P

Q) Will there be music?

      A.Music provided by various sources: pandora, ipod, or u can bring your own music.

Q) Will there be any games?

      A.C'mon now, it's New Year's...try Bingo night with Aunt Jemima! I hear she's sweet!

Q) What about parking. Where can I park?

      A. Since you'll be drinking, we suggest carpooling. Other than that, there are guest services parking. That's our disclaimer. 

Q) Will I be able to hook up with anyone there?

     A. Sorry...no one will be that drunk! Hehe. Plus, this is a rated PG-13 (there will be cussing and adult material content such as adult humor) event.

Q) How should I behave at the party?

     A. Duffus. It's a party. No one behaves! Be yourself. I guess that means be nerdy, dorky, a loser, or geek. Bring your sense of humor. Whatever you do, just don't puke the the $1million Indian rug or be a wall flower.

Q) Since I can't hook up with anyone, can I bring a date?

     A. Capacity is limited. Just make sure he/she is no taller than a hobbit or a smurf. Just kidding. Sure. What the heck.

Q). Why are you doing this EventBrite Ticketing thing?

     A. Well, first of all we didn't want to hunt anyone down to help pay for stuff. This way it makes it easy on us organizing the event AND everyone else involved like who paid and who didn't help pay. Because really who wants to hunt down a drunk person for money. Hehe. Second, by having prepaid money, we can take that money to go buy all the necessary items for the event (food, booze, and decor). Basically, it just makes planning a lot easier. Also, about 3.74 goes to eventbrite for managing this ticketing system. It's well worth it. The rest goes to the cost of the good stuff :P
